During my PhD studies, I helped develop the Python-based software GeNTLE to identify gender biases in corporate texts and business communications through data analytics. This was a collaborative research project between the Polytechnic University of Milan and the multinational consulting company NTT DATA.
My responsibilities
- Literature review on gendered language
- Write the software in Python
- Test the software on a dataset of New York Times articles and corporate documents (SEC filings)
- Write the documentation of the software
